Rapidos Mexican Restaurant: A Must-Visit for Authentic Mexican Food in Platte City

We decided to try this place after having pedicures. I am glad we did. The food and service was excellent. We have been here twice now and the food and service was excellent both times. Thursdays they have the Fried Puffy Tacos 2 for 1 made from Fried Flour Tortillas and on Tuesdays they have the Fried Tacos 2 for 1 made with Corn Tortillas. They have specials daily. We will be back. You need to try this place. They are not wearing masks or Social Distancing to protect from the Covid virus.

It's exactly what you want from a small homestyle Mexican restaurant. The Puffy tacos are delicious, great flavor and texture, same with the chicken enchilada. Don't get completely full from the chips and salsa first! Haha. The service has always been great. I've only been there around lunchtime but no complaints.

We sat at the bar and the service was excellent! We ordered a pitcher of margaritas for only 16 on their Saturday special. I ordered their fried tacos and they were so good! I'd definitely go back.

Arrived and was quickly seated. My server immediately came by and set me up with the menu and shared the specials and drink options. Chips and Salsa quickly followed. The Salsa options were mild and a little less mild vs Medium but decent tasting on both accounts. The main dish was served fast, hot, and my order was correct to adjust for dietary restrictions. I got the lunch beef taco and chicken enchilada plate. Both items were good and worthy of a clean plate. While initially it didn't look like a lot of food, I was full when I left. The staff and their friendly nature to make everyone feel at home moves this rating from a 4.5 by living up to good Rapid Mexican Food to a 5 star. If I am in the area, I will likely stop by again for a reasonably priced meal.

Rapido's was amazing!!!! Food was great and service was even better!!!! Our daughter ordered a Fajita burrito and it was spicier than what she could tolerate and we asked if we could order something else for her. They got her order in right away and out very quickly, even took the first entree off our check even though it wasn't their fault. Sent us home with fresh batch of chips and salsa and to go drinks!! We'll definitely be back to this place next time we travel to and from KC.

This restaurant was very solid. Service was rapido as the name of the restaurant suggests. The atmosphere was somewhat plain but it’s ok. The food was really good. House salsa: Tomato-based salsa with a great consistency and a lime undertone. Real good. House hot: Tomato-bases salsa with chile de Arbol making a really really nice smoky and spicy salsa. Not too hot and the flavor comes through very well. Crispy chicken tacos- simple toppings but the chicken was seasoned and shredded perfectly. The contrast between the soft melt-in-your-mouth shredded chicken and the crunchy taco shell was very pleasing. Black beans (side)- great. They looked simple but a nice saltiness level came through to deliver a great side dish. Roasted veggies (side)- amazing!!! The roasted veggies were surprisingly tasty and reminded me of vegetables you would get at a Japanese hibachi restaurant. They were seasoned perfectly and made for an amazing side kick to the meal that you wouldn’t expect to be so good! Overall, this restaurant experience was really really good. Service from the waitress was quick and consistent. She brought the house salsa to me at no additional charge and was extremely friendly. I recommend this place.

Excellent. The food, the service, location and cleanliness. I loved it all. I had the fajita burrito and my husband had beef tacos for taco Tuesday. Everything tasted really good! Not just good, I'm talking really great! Definitely try this place. So yummy!

Absolutely the best taco salad I have had in a long time! It was so huge. I had to split it up over three meals. The portioning of the hamburger and other ingredients is right on! I’ve been to other places and had taco salads where they give you one or 2 tablespoons of hamburger and it’s disrespectful And frustrating in my opinion. Definitely eat at this Mexican restaurant. The food is superb.
